We had a great weekend! And the best part is that it's not even over. :) Happy Memorial Day!

  • On Friday night we went and ate at Razzoo's for a family date night and bought some ice cream (Blue Bell on sale at Kroger-- woohoo!) to take home.
  • While Matt mowed the backyard, Avery and I went on a very long walk, during which she fell asleep in her stroller. I'm pretty sure that hasn't happened in at least a year ever.
  • We got home to find Matt working on Avery's fort, and it now has the floor, slide, ladder, and swingset attached! Now he just has to finish the roof and base before we can stain it.
  • Matt and Avery cooled off in the sprinkler (while Meg took cover under a shrub, haha!) before lunch.

  • And then we all got a good nap in. Zzzzzzzzz.
  • When we woke up, we took Avery to the ballpark to go to the Ranger game with my parents (her 6th of the season!), and we enjoyed a date night at the mall (hoping the walking might send me into labor), ending by seeing a movie (Bridesmaids) in a real live theater and not on Netflix.

  • After our late night, Sunday morning came way too early.
  • We got to go to church at a normal time (9:00 instead of 7:45!), and we went to lunch at Whataburger (classy, right?) with family and friends.
  • After Avery woke up from her nap, we made it to the farewell reception for the Miller's (Our associate pastor's family-- sniff, sniff! I'm so sad they're moving!) and stayed at church for the prayer Gathering.
  • We went to bed early, and I'm pretty sure I got the worst sleep of my life.
And now it's my due date and no baby yet.  But Matt's been nesting for the both of us today :) and we're planning on running a couple errands and going swimming later on. Totally chill and not too shabby. Hope you're enjoying your holiday weekend!

Wow, look at that fort! We're coming over! No sprinklers happening over here. If we want to play with water outside, we're just standing in the rain. Can you believe it's raining here in California the day before June?!? Hope to see some pics of the little one really soon! =)
