Friday Five

This was a weird week. You won't hear me complaining though because it's FRIDAY!

1. I was at school for a total of 2.5 days this week. I'm writing this from the comfort of my zebra chair at home. I am about to go work my little booty off at the church today though, so let me make it clear that I am not taking a day off.

2. My first teacher training session of the year (for Children's Ministry) is tomorrow. Ohmygoodness I am not ready yet (hence the "day off" to still work). I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty nervous. I'm learning a lot though. Things like, maybe I should learn to delegate. Ha! We should have a good turnout though, and if nothing else, at least we'll get to eat Chick-Fil-A. That always makes anything better, right?

3. Tylenol PM is a waste of money.

4. Has anybody ever tried e-mealz.com? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the $5/month or if I'm better off just planning our menu myself.

5. I really have nothing else that's beneficial to say for numero cinco. I just keep thinking about my ever-growing to-do list for today and how I better get on top of that.

So on that note, I'm out! Happy Friday!

Good luck with your work on your day off!

I have never tried that site but have you tried menus4moms? It does meal planning for you and even gives you shopping lists and menus. You can subscribe for a fee but there is also a free option.

Have a great weekend.

I agree with #3. It never did anything for me.

Happy Friday!

Never tried e-mealz...but menus4moms sounds good...also there is savingdinner.com...that was a life saver for me more times than I can count...and if you have food allergies there is heartofcooking.com her recipes are amazing and her menu planners are far less expensive!

Have a great weekend!

I think you'll do better doing your own menu planning. Have a fantastic weekend, and get well soon!!!

I did savingdinner for a while. The food was good and it was easy. But, for me, it's just as easy to do it myself.

Sounds like your busy. Good luck with your new job. About the menu's I've never done any of those but I did do Dream dinners which is where you go and prepare your meals for a month at a time. I also did once a month cooking when my kids were home. I would cook all the ground beef, chicken etc. for the month it was really helpful to me.
Well hope you have a great weekend,
Sherry

I've never subscribed to a menu planning service, partly due to budget constraints. But I do join in Menu Planning Monday at orgjunkie.com and know of several free resources for menu planning. So far they have helped keep me on track.
I wrote an article, "Zero Cost Menu Planning," which has websites for some of the free resources. You can find the link on the sidebar of my homepage or Google the title.

Happy planning!

We got to go to Chik-Fil-A when we were in Florida last week....it was great...we don't have that in Canada! ...and there's nothing wrong with having an actual day off that you don't work...we all deserve that once in awhile!

Sorry you haven't been feeling well. Hope you're back to good health soon.

It seems to be a busy time at lots of churches this spring. We had a big children's ministry Easter event last night that was well-attended. I'm a part-time staffer and enjoy getting to serve in our children's ministry.

I agree, Tylenol PM, really? What's the point? :)

Haven't done any online meal planning. Figure my family is too particular.

Have a great week!

Glad to know this info about Tylenol PM I've often wanted to try it. I won't waste my money. Anyone try Melatonin?

I have a friend whose has used the e-meals. She loved it and highly recommended it. I've not tried it due to budget. She did say the menus repeat after six months. She said once you've got the menus and recipes for the first 6 months you can stop your account. I would love to try it.

Happy weekend!
